World Net Daily is at it again, this time defending the honor of their own great American hero, George Zimmerman, the man acquitted of murdering unarmed teen Trayvon Martin last February.
Zimmerman was recently arrested again, this time for pointing a shotgun at his allegedly pregnant girlfriend. The post by WND’s Jack Cashill claims that the assault and battery charges against Zimmerman are nothing more than a smear job and a liberal conspiracy against George Zimmerman. Of course, Cashill isn’t exactly impartial himself. He did, after all, pen a book on defending the former neighborhood watch captain entitled If I Had a Son: Race, Guns and the Railroading of George Zimmerman. It was published by none other than WND’s in house publisher, likely because no real publisher would print that claptrap.
Of the alleged abuse of Zimmerman’s girlfriend Samantha Scheibe that resulted in a 911 call to Seminole County police and Zimmerman’s arrest, Cashill wrote:
In the last two years, Zimmerman has experienced more betrayal on more levels than most of us will in a lifetime. Regardless of the circumstances, each misstep Zimmerman has made post-trial has left the media giddy. They seem to think it vindicates their utterly subversive rush to judgment.
The fact is that the Zimmerman they now happily trash is the Zimmerman they helped create. Whatever happens going forward, the blood is on their hands.
So, what are you trying to say, Mr. Cashill? That all of his run-ins with the law are the media’s fault? Or that he didn’t do anything, anything at all? Either way, you’re a liar. This guy is a walking pile of trouble, and, like or not, you and the rest of his spineless defenders will see him go to jail, right where he belongs.
