Jon Stewart: 'The Constitution is not a Homicide Pact' (VIDEO)

Last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart recapped another mass shooting by taking aim at GOP intransigence on gun control.

Starting off by covering the long line of behavioral issues experienced by Aaron Alexis before the Navy Yard shooting, Jon then turned to the strange fealty the Republican Party has to the 2nd Amendment. Stewart pointed out the questionable nature of the constitutionality of the NSA and homeland security, which most Republicans have no issue with.

“With guns, the Constitution is ironclad, but with terrorism, it’s a list of suggestions.”

Stewart then pointed out that we have had nearly 250 mass shootings this year in just 260 days. “Our mass shooting average is 96%.” He then closed with a video of Fox News’ Monica Crowley defending the stretching of the Bill of Rights when it comes to defending the country from terrorism by saying that “The Constitution is not a Suicide Pact.” Stewart responded by saying, “I’m pretty sure it’s not a Homicide Pact either.”
