John Lewis At The National Mall: "We are not going back." (VIDEO)

In an interview today with MSNBC’s Al Sharpton, the great Civil Rights leader and current congressman from Georgia, John Lewis recalled the day of Martin Luther King’s “Dream” speech. Lewis himself spoke very eloquently and forcefully that day and he still does today.

Lewis told Sharpton, “Forces, not just forces in the American South, but forces all across our country want to take us back to another period and we have to say, ‘We are not going back, we have come too far now to stop.’”

Let’s hope he is right.
