Does it [life] begin at conception? No, it actually begins “before I formed you in the womb.” Before conception. It begins in the mind of God. And if God thought that child into existence…(and of course, the biology begins at conception)…but even before that it began in the mind of God. If God thought that into existence, it is a living child in the mind of God.Klingenschmitt is quoting Jeremiah 1:5, which is one of the Bible verses anti-choicers cling to in their arguments.
Jeremiah 1:5 English Standard Version (ESV) 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”He further accuses the government of killing prophets:
When the government comes in to kill that prophet to the nations, they’re violating the command and the idea of God.He did acknowledge that the “biology” begins at conception, which in itself is somewhat shocking for him. Klingenschmitt naturally makes no mention of Genesis 2:7, Job 33:4, Ezekiel 37:5-6, Exodus 21:22, or others. Anti-choicers ignore these verses. Watch the video:
