This weekend at the AFL-CIO’s annual convention, Massachusetts Senator (D), Elizabeth Warren commented on the future of the Supreme Court, saying,
“Think about this: you follow this pro-corporate trend to its logical conclusion, and sooner or later, you’ll end up with a Supreme Court that functions as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Big Business,”
Warren did not spare the current court either, naming names,
“Look at the increasing corporate capture of the federal courts,” she explained. “According to a recent study, the five conservative justices on the United States Supreme Court are in the top ten most pro-corporate justices in half a century. And Justices [Samuel] Alito and [John] Roberts — are you ready? — are number one and number two. The most anti-consumer justices in this entire time.”
